An off-road adventure to discover the hidden beauties of the south, like the most beautiful beaches, the deserts, you will reach the southeast coast of Sal Island where you can enjoy driving between the sandy dunes and the salt flats in the Santa Maria area’s.
After that, you will get on the top of Serra Negra Mountain, from where you can enjoy the breathtaking view of Serra Negra beach, the Natural Reserve of Sal Island.
The excursion continues crossing the island to reach the south-west coast, passing through the Palha Verde Oasis and arriving in Ponta Preta beach: one of the most beautiful of the island.

Get the experience of driving through the dark desert in a buggy equipped with special lights,
Start your journey through the beautiful sand dunes that surround Kite Beach, the favorite white sandy beach of the kite-surfers. Explore the green Oasis of Palha Verde with a short stop where you can admire the starry sky before returning to Santa Maria to finish in the vivid city centre for a (non-alcoholic) cocktail.

BUGGY TOUR 4H ISLAND TOUR (choose this in the extras)

Coast to coast off-road, guided island tour to get to know all the highlights of Sal. The first stop will be in Palmeira, the village of the fisherman on which you can see the typical houses of Cape Verde. Then, you will proceed to the northwest coast of the island to reach Buracona, where you can see the natural swimming pool and the famous blue eye. The next stop will be in Terra Boa, on the north-center of the island, to experience the “Mirage” effect in the middle of the desert: you will see water where actually there is not. After Terra Boa, the tour will continue towards the north-east coast to reach the top of the volcano of Pedra de Lume, where you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the salt-flats built into the crater. The last stop will be in Shark Bay, where you will have the chance to get in the water and see the Sharks in their natural habitat, before to head back to Santa Maria.
